Jane Windeyer

Introducing Jane Windeyer, our Deputy Chair.

Jane is Amberly’s Mum, meaning our charity and cause are very close to her heart. To Jane, Amby’s Army means everything to her. It is about keeping Amberly’s memory alive by sharing her story. In Jane’s own words, “our loss is a way to turn my pain into hope for others”. “Amby’s Army is our chance to change the way we think about and approach mental health, by viewing the whole person, not just the illness.”. It is hard for Jane not to be reminded of Amberly in everything she sees, but most notably, she finds Amberly in the sunshine, “it reminds me of her smile and her love of summer”.

Outside of Amby’s Army, Jane loves to garden, listen to music, attend the ballet and musicals, and watch a cheesy rom-com, many of the things she and Amberly enjoyed together.
